When a global logistics company based in Colnbrook decided to relocate from their old offices to larger, purpose built premises, Glenside was appointed to manage the office side of the relocation together with the supply and installation of new furniture throughout the new premises.
This involved taking into account the size and scope of the project including the client’s design for an open plan solution and designing stylish and highly functional plans for the offices, canteens and meeting rooms. Our use of CAD drawings and plans meant that all decisions could be discussed and planned in intricate detail to ensure our client was happy with not only with the concept but also the final results of our project.
The design of this project was important to our client, who wanted a range of colour schemes to choose from for the furniture and overall finish, which Glenside provided. When the plans were finalised, the chosen layout meant floor boxes needed to be moved, a task Glenside could also carry out, being skilled at all aspects of electrical and mechanical design. Finally, business considerations necessitated relocating the office equipment, and staff belongings to the new premises over the space of one weekend, which meant that further planning and preparation was needed in order to minimise business disruption. The project included the design and completion of a broad scope of works including:
- Full office relocation
- Full office design including 3D visuals and selection of finishes
- Feature communal break out space, canteen area and meeting rooms
- Floor coverings
- Storage solutions
- Furniture supply and installation
